Walk In Donations

Each time you visit your local Alva or Hopeton Financial Institution, consider budgeting a small portion of your deposit to Bank It. Each quarter, Bank It will be showcasing a worthy local organization in need. By donating a small amount each month when you deposit your paycheck, you can begin your habit of helping. Many patrons will simply ask the teller to "hold out $5 for Bank It" and the bank will take care of the rest. The walk-in donations are collected by each financial institution and go towards the amount that particular bank may match at the end of the quarter, so every little bit helps.

Pledge Form

Creating a Habit of Helping is easy with our convenient Pledge Form. This form will allow you to designate the amount you would like to have drafted from your checking account. You have the option to donate monthly or quarterly. Once Bank It recieves your pledge form,  your Habit of Helping has begun. The funds will be drafted from your account as determined by you and annually, you will recieve a statement of contribution stating the total you donated that year.  You may then take this information to your tax preparer and benefit from the advantages of donating to a 501(C)3 Organization. You may cancel your donation at any time, with a simple email or call to Bank It.

LARGE DOLLAR DONATIONS AND MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS

Each year, Bank It has patrons who chose to donate large sums towards the end of the year, to be rationed for each CommUNITY Vision the following year. Bank It has received donations to go strictly to the Rainy Day Fund for Families in Crisis, or the Growth Fund for future community projects. Some families have designated Bank It to be the recipient of memorial contributions in leu of flowers. No matter what you give or how you choose to give it, those funds will stay in this great community for current or future projects, and families in need. No funds are used for administrative fees. Additionally, your donation is tax deductible, as Bank It is a 501(C)3 Charitable Organization.

Fund Allocation

Not only does Bank It help organizations in need now, we plan for the future. All funds stay IN this community FOR this community.

The Rainy Day Fund has been created to aid families in crisis situations. This fund grows as each CommUNITY Vision comes to an end and 15% of all incoming donations are allocated to The Rainy Day Fund. So far, Bank It has helped with hospital bills, utility bills, funeral costs and fire victims. This fund is set to continue to grow, so Bank It will always be able to help our fellow neighbors in their time of need.

The Growth Fund has been created to save money for community projects that are not selected as a CommUNITY Vision. Again, this fund grows as each CommUNITY Vision comes to an end and 20% of all incoming donations are allocated to the Growth Fund. Due to the success of Bank It over the last 4 years, we have been able to offer 'Mini-Grants' to organizations working hard, and needing  extra funding to complete their projects. As this fund continues to grow, Bank It hopes to help with larger projects by offering grants in larger amounts.
